"Memories from Moweaqua" consists of excerpts from the Moweaqua Call, August 1886-1887, the Moweaqua Call-Mail, 1889-1905, and Moweaqua News 1906-1909. All extracts were taken from microfilm roll #1-852, owned by
the Shelby County Historical Society, Shelbyville, Illinois. These articles reflect the
determination and fortitude of the Moweaqua pioneers. These were hard working, dedicated
people, and they have given Moweaqua a fine legacy—a legacy all of Moweaqua can be proud to
